Introduction

Artist Kit ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Artist Kit service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Service.

Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of data:

  • Account information, including email and profile details you provide
  • When you sign in with Google, your email address and public profile name received from your Google account
  • Usage data, such as pages visited and actions taken
  • Payment-related information processed by our payment provider
  • Device and log data, including IP address and browser information
  • Error and diagnostic data, such as crash reports and technical logs, used to keep the Service working

How We Use Data

We use data to provide and improve the Service, process payments, authenticate users, send important notices, analyze usage, and comply with legal obligations.

Where required by law, we process personal data based on legal grounds such as contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where applicable.

Supabase

Account authentication and storage of profile and site data are handled through Supabase infrastructure.

Google Sign-In

You can choose to sign in with your Google account. This authentication is brokered through Supabase.

When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and the public profile name (display name) associated with your Google account, and we use them to create and identify your Artist Kit account. We do not request or store other Google data, such as contacts, calendar, files, or your profile photo.

Google's handling of the information it provides is governed by Google's own privacy policy. Signing in with email and password remains available as an alternative.

Stripe

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers.

Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service and improve product quality.

Where required, analytics technologies are used only after obtaining the necessary consent.

Page Analytics

Artists on a paid plan can see visitor statistics for their public page. When you visit a public artist page or its sub-pages, we record basic traffic data so we can show the page owner how their page is performing.

We do not use cookies for this and we do not store your IP address, name, or anything that identifies you personally. To avoid counting the same visit twice, a random identifier is kept in your browser; it is not linked to your identity. Visits from automated bots and from the artist's own account are excluded.

  • The page and sub-pages you viewed
  • The site or link that referred you, where available
  • Approximate location (country and city) derived from your connection
  • Basic device and browser information
  • The date and time of the visit

Error Monitoring (Sentry)

We use Sentry, an error-monitoring service, to detect, diagnose, and fix technical problems and to keep the Service reliable and secure.

When an error occurs, Sentry receives a diagnostic report that may include the page or action involved, technical details about the error, your IP address, and basic device and browser information. If you are signed in, the report is associated with your account identifier, such as your user ID and email, so we can investigate issues affecting your account. We do not use this data for advertising.

Sentry processes this data on our behalf, and the diagnostic data we send is stored in the European Union. Sentry's handling of information is also governed by its own privacy policy.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies for authentication, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

Data Retention

We retain account and profile data while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Some data may be retained longer for legal, security, or legitimate business reasons.

After account deletion, we aim to delete or de-identify active account data within a reasonable period, while backups and security logs may persist for a limited retention window.

Data Sharing

We share data only as needed to operate the Service, comply with legal requirements, or protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, or restrict processing of your personal data.

You can request access, deletion, correction, or export by contacting hello@artistkit.co, and we will respond within timelines required by applicable law.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Third-Party Processors

We use third-party providers, including infrastructure, authentication, and payment partners, to operate the Service. Those providers process data on our behalf under their own contractual and legal obligations.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated policy text will be posted here with a revised last-updated date.
