Help & answers
Everything you wanted to ask about Artist Kit
From setting up your first page to bookings, releases, billing, and what happens to your data — the questions artists ask us most, answered in one place.
Getting started
Signing up and the basics
What Artist Kit is, who it's for, and what to expect on day one.
What is Artist Kit?
Artist Kit is a music-first EPK and booking page for DJs, producers, vocalists, and live acts. It gives every artist a clean one-page site that keeps releases, gigs, social links, and booking info updated and shareable — no code, no template tinkering.
Who is Artist Kit for?
Independent musicians who need a credible online home without the overhead of a full website build. DJs sending links to promoters, producers pitching labels, vocalists fielding collaboration requests, and live acts maintaining a tour-ready EPK.
How long does it take to set up my page?
Most artists go from sign-up to a published page in under thirty minutes. Pick a username, add your bio and links, upload a photo or two, and you're live.
Do I need any design or coding skills?
No. The layout is designed around what promoters, fans, and journalists need to see, so you fill in your content and the page handles the design.
Can I try Artist Kit before I pay?
Yes. You can create an account and build out your page on the free plan, and upgrade only when you want the paid features.
How do I sign up?
Click "Create your page" anywhere on the site, enter your email, and confirm. You'll land in the editor with a starter page ready to fill in.
Can I migrate from Linktree, Squarespace, or Bandcamp?
There's no automatic importer today, but the editor walks you through every section, and you can paste in your existing bio, links, and embed URLs from your other tools.
Your page & URL
Your address on the web
How your URL works, what you can change, and how it stays yours.
What will my page URL look like?
Your page lives at artistkit.co/yourname — pick the username during sign-up. Share it on Instagram bios, flyers, in emails, anywhere a link goes.
Can I change my username later?
Yes. You can update your username from your account settings. The old URL stops working immediately, so update any places you've shared it before changing.
Can I use my own custom domain?
Custom domains are on the roadmap. For now every page lives at artistkit.co/yourname, which is the URL we recommend sharing while we work on domain mapping.
Can I have more than one page on one account?
One account currently runs one artist page. If you perform under multiple aliases, sign up with a separate email for each.
What happens to my page if I don't publish?
Unpublished pages stay private — only you can see them while you're editing. Nothing goes live until you choose to publish.
Will my page work on mobile?
Yes. Every page is built mobile-first, since most promoter and fan clicks come from a phone.
Content & customisation
What goes on your page
Bio, photos, releases, gigs, links — what you can add and how it looks.
What can I put on my page?
A short bio, press photos, your latest releases, upcoming gigs, streaming and social links, a booking contact, and an optional agent or management block. The sections are designed to mirror what an EPK normally contains.
Can I reorder or hide sections?
Yes. Toggle any section on or off, and reorder them to match the story you want to tell — a producer pitching labels might lead with releases, a DJ might lead with upcoming gigs.
Can I customise the colours and look?
Yes. You can adjust the colour scheme, accent colour, and brand assets so your page feels like yours. The underlying layout stays clean and EPK-ready.
Can I upload my own logo or hero image?
Yes. Upload a hero image, profile photo, and logo from the editor. We resize and optimise them automatically so the page stays fast.
Is there a dark mode?
Pages adapt to the visitor's system setting where supported. You can also lock a single theme on if your brand calls for it.
How much text should I write?
Less than you think. A short two-to-three-sentence bio that says what you do and where you're based reads better than a long paragraph — promoters skim.
Music & releases
Your sound, front and centre
How to hook up streaming platforms, embed mixes, and keep releases current.
How do I add my Spotify, Apple Music, or SoundCloud?
Paste your profile or release link into the editor. Artist Kit recognises the platform and renders the right embed or button — no codes to copy.
Can I embed mixes from Mixcloud or YouTube?
Yes. Paste any Mixcloud, SoundCloud, YouTube, or Bandcamp URL and it embeds inline so visitors can listen without leaving your page.
Do new releases show up automatically?
You add releases yourself so the order, framing, and which platforms to feature stay under your control. The release block takes a link and pulls in artwork and metadata.
Can I feature a pre-save or smart link?
Yes. Drop in a Linkfire, Feature.fm, or equivalent smart-link URL and it renders as a featured release with a clear call to action.
Can I show every release I've ever put out?
You can — but most artists do better featuring three to five releases. The page is a snapshot, not a discography; for the long tail, link out to Spotify or Bandcamp.
Gigs & events
Tour dates and shows
Keeping your live calendar visible and up to date.
How do I list upcoming shows?
Add each show from the editor with a date, venue, city, and an optional ticket link. They render in chronological order and disappear once they've passed.
Do I need a Bandsintown or Songkick account?
No. You can list shows manually inside Artist Kit. Direct sync with Bandsintown and Songkick is on the roadmap.
Can I show past shows?
Past dates roll off the upcoming list automatically. If you want to highlight notable bookings, add them as press credits in your bio section.
Can I link to a ticket page or RSVP?
Yes. Each event can carry its own ticket or RSVP URL, which shows up as a clear call-to-action next to the date.
Bookings & contact
How promoters reach you
Making it easy for the people who want to book you to do so.
How do bookings work on Artist Kit?
Your page surfaces a clear booking contact — either a direct email, a contact form, or your agent's details. Promoters reach you outside the platform; Artist Kit is the discovery layer, not a marketplace.
Do you take a cut of my bookings?
No. Bookings happen between you and the promoter directly. Artist Kit charges a flat subscription and takes no commission on any deal you make through your page.
Can I hide my personal email?
Yes. Use the built-in contact form instead of exposing an inbox, or display only an agent or management email. The form forwards inquiries to whichever address you set.
Can I show an agent or manager separately?
Yes. The contact block has space for a primary booking contact and a separate management contact, with labels you control.
Can I add a rider, tech spec, or press pack to download?
Yes. Upload PDFs and they appear as downloadable buttons inside your contact or EPK section — perfect for stage plots, riders, and bios.
Analytics & growth
Knowing who's looking
Seeing how your page performs and getting found by more people.
Can I see how many people visit my page?
Yes. The analytics dashboard shows page views, unique visitors, and trends over time so you can tell which campaigns are driving traffic.
Can I see where my visitors are coming from?
Yes. Top referrers and basic geography show up in your dashboard, so you can tell whether your Instagram bio, an email blast, or a press feature is the driver.
Can I see what people click on my page?
Yes. Link, release, and gig clicks are tracked individually so you know which streaming platforms, shows, or socials get the most attention.
Is the page good for SEO?
Yes. Every page is server-rendered with proper meta tags, structured data, and fast load times — so your name surfaces in search when people look you up.
Can I add Meta Pixel or Google Analytics?
Built-in analytics covers most artists' needs. Native Meta Pixel and Google Analytics injection are on the roadmap; let us know if it's a blocker and we'll prioritise.
Account, pricing & billing
Plans, payments, and changes
What it costs, how billing works, and what changes when you upgrade or cancel.
How much does Artist Kit cost?
There's a free plan to get you started, and a paid plan that unlocks custom branding, deeper analytics, and removes Artist Kit branding from your page. Latest pricing is on the home page.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan covers the essentials — your own URL, page sections, music and gig embeds, and a contact channel — enough to share a credible page right away.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards through our payment processor. Billing happens monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings and you keep paid features until the end of your current billing period — no cancellation fees.
What happens to my page if I downgrade or cancel?
Your page stays online on the free plan. Paid-only features revert to the free defaults, and your data is preserved so you can resume any time.
Do you offer refunds?
If something's broken on our end, reach out and we'll make it right. For change-of-mind cancellations the no-fee cancel covers the remainder of the billing period.
Privacy, data & ownership
Your content stays yours
What we collect, how it's used, and what happens when you leave.
Who owns the content I put on my page?
You do. Your bio, photos, music, gigs, and links remain entirely yours — we host them so you can share them, nothing more.
Do you share my email or contact details?
No. We never sell or share your contact details. The booking contact you choose to display is shown to your visitors because you've published it; nothing else leaves the platform.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Reach out and we'll provide an export of your page content. Self-serve export is on the roadmap.
What happens when I delete my account?
Your page comes offline immediately and your data is removed from active systems. Backups roll off on their normal cycle.
Are you GDPR-compliant?
Yes. We honour data-access, correction, and deletion requests. If you have a specific question or need a Data Processing Agreement, get in touch.
Support & troubleshooting
When you need a hand
Getting help and knowing where to look when something's off.
How do I get in touch with support?
Use the contact page or email us — the address on the footer goes straight to the team. We aim to reply within one business day.
Is Artist Kit available worldwide?
Yes. Anyone with an internet connection can sign up and publish. The interface is English-first today, with more languages on the roadmap.
Does Artist Kit have an API?
Not publicly today. If you're building something that would benefit from one, tell us about the use case and we'll factor it in.
I found a bug — what should I do?
Tell us what you saw, what you expected, and the page you were on (a screenshot helps). We treat bug reports as a priority.
Can you build a feature I need?
Maybe. Feature requests shape the roadmap heavily — if multiple artists ask for the same thing, it tends to ship. Send us a note.
Still have a question?
If you didn't find what you were looking for, get in touch — we read every message and reply within a working day.
