Rodney Gale

Rodney Gale is an Alberta singer-songwriter based west of Edmonton. His music might be described as acoustic driven in the folk/singer song writer style; using strong imagery and vocals his story telling is engaging, intimate and varied.    One person described it like this: “spending time listening to Rodney perform is like sharing life’s journeys.”

Rodney is, however, relatively new to the performance circuit.   He enjoyed a career as a veterinarian in Alberta, Canada as well as China, Ireland and Mongolia.   Throughout those years playing his guitar and writing songs had been a passionate hobby and he took every opportunity provided him to share his creations with family, friends and even fellow campers (he and his wife of almost 50 years love camping).  While in Ireland he recorded an album of songs he had written there called ‘Pilgrim Road’.  It is available on all streaming platforms as well as on CD.

Since moving back to Canada music has become a primary focus. Rodney has been performing as often as he can at a variety of venues this year including local open mic’s, craft breweries, Ribfest in Spruce Grove, Alberta and Summer Sessions in Stony Plain, Alberta.  He is also hoping to get into the studio soon.
