Georgii is a pianist, singer, producer, songwriter, and content creator. He has 18 years of experience performing as a soloist and as a member of various bands. After graduating college with a piano performance degree, Georgii moved to New York to pursue a career in pop music. After a year of producing in his tiny room in Bushwick, he released his first original song “Never Had”.
“Never Had’ is Georgii’s debut single. He wrote this song as a response to rejection by his best friend with whom he had been in love for an entire year. The lyrics for the song’s verse came to Georgii very quickly as he was reflecting on his life after he just confessed his feelings. Despite being heartbroken and completely devastated, Georgii knew the potential of what just came to him, thus he finished the song the same evening and started working on its production. The influence for the song’s production was derived from Taylor Swift, Robyn, and Sergei Rachmaninov. As the production follows the footprints of dance and electro-pop, the synth occurring in fifths as a leitmotif throughout the entire song mimics the beginning of Rachmaninoff’s Étude-Tableaux, D minor, Op. 33.
“Never Had” is about friendship and mixed signals.
