J. Robbins

J. Robbins has been the singer/guitarist and principal songwriter in several DC-and-Baltimore-area post-punk rock bands since the late 1980s, most notably Jawbox, Burning Airlines, and Channels. Since 2019 he has released new music under his own name both on Dischord Records and independently on Bandcamp, playing live and touring regularly either with a power trio or playing solo acoustic. Since the mid-90s he has also been a recording engineer and producer of note in the post-punk music underground and continues in the role as owner and operator of the Magpie Cage recording studio in Baltimore MD.
